Course Description: 

PREREQUISITE: "C" or better in Cyber Forensics. Parental approval is required. 

This course is suitable for students who have decided to pursue a career in forensic science, law enforcement, or criminal justice. It is a fourth-year science course AND the second course under the CTE Public Services/Public Safety Pathway. Topics include Forensic Interrogation and Forensic Reporting/Forensic Laboratory techniques, Arson and Fire Investigation, Explosions, Body systems, Physical Trauma, Physiology of Alcohol and poisons, Advanced concepts in DNA, Odontology, Advanced Entomology, Crime and accident reconstruction, Cyber-crimes, and Criminal profiling. Parental approval is required as sensitive information/graphic content will be covered.  Opportunity to earn work hour/s credit based on teacher approval and availability.
