Course Description: 

PREREQUISITE:  Above average levels of reading and expression, both verbal and written. Students have better than average grades in previously taken English and social studies courses. Students must take an entrance exam to be admitted.

The complex study of United States History designed for the serious and dedicated student. The class is skills-based with an emphasis on written historical analysis.  Students will be involved in learning activities that prepare them for the Advanced Placement examination in May.  This course is taught with the rigor of a college course with students held to the same level of expectation.
