• Over the past four years, Almond consistently ranked between 17th and 20th in overall attendance within the district. However, in the spring of 2023, our Instructional Leadership Team convened multiple times to address various areas of improvement, including attendance. We implemented a strategic action plan starting in the summer of 2023, and we are thrilled to report a significant improvement. Our data revealed staggering statistics, with half of our kindergarten students missing 18 or more days of school during the 2022-2023 academic year. School-wide, one-third of our students were absent for at least a month of school.

  • Kindergarten stands out with one of the highest attendance rates among grade levels, averaging an impressive 97.15% daily attendance. Our young scholars are diligently acquiring essential foundational skills, setting them on a path to success.

  • We've achieved a remarkable increase in our school's overall attendance rate, surpassing 6%. This means more students are actively engaged in classroom learning, leading to greater success for our scholars.
