Dick Bruich Field @ Steeler Stadium
(Football, Girls Flag Football, B & G Soccer, B & G Track + Field)
Construction began in 1954 and completed in 1958, Steeler Stadium is home to several of our Athletics Programs. With an official capacity of 6,000, Steeler Stadium has seen Football games and Graduations that have expanded the capacity to 10,000 people with additional seating brought in. The venue is best accessed from Citrus Ave. using the Student Parking lot on the Southwest corner of campus.
While many believe that Steeler Stadium was named after our mascot, the story is actually the other way around. Beginning in 1954, the Steelworkers of Kasier Steel Industries got together with the company to donate the labor and materials to build Steeler Stadium. In gratitude for their generosity, Fontana High School officially adopted "Steelers" as our school mascot.
In 2021, a community petition was presented to FUSD to rename the facility "Dick Bruich Field at Steeler Stadium" in honor of long-time Head Football Coach Dick Bruich. On June 22, 2022, the FUSD School Board officially renamed the playing surface in honor of Coach Bruich.
In a renovation project between March and October 2023, FUSD installed a Rekortan Gel Series G10 "all-weather" track and an AstroTurf Rootzone 3D3 Blend field. On October 10, 2023, the Varsity Football team won their first game played on the newly opened field. On October 27, an official recognition ceremony was held to honor Coach B in person.

Fohi Main Gym
(B & G Basketball, B & G Volleyball, B & G Wrestling)
Built in 1954, the Fohi Gym has hosted numerous indoor sports over the years. Currently, our Boys and Girls Basketball teams, Boys and Girls Volleyball teams, and Boys and Girls Wrestling teams use the facility for home games. In years past, the venue even hosted our Badminton teams.
The Main Gym sits in the middle of campus North of Steeler Stadium. The main entrance is now on the North side of the building. Parking can be accessed via the Northeast gate on Oleander Ave. for most events.
The Small Gym is directly West of the Main Gym and is used for Freshman Girls Volleyball matches and is accessed from the North side of the building.

Varsity Baseball Diamond
(Baseball)
Completed in 1952, the Varsity Baseball Diamond is an original feature of our campus. It can be best accessed via the Southeast gate on Oleander Ave. The JV Baseball Diamond sits Southwest of the Varsity Diamond and can be accessed via the same entrance.

Fohi Pool
(B & G Water Polo, B & G Swim)
The Fohi Pool is another campus facility completed in 1954. The pool sits just West of the Main Gym, South of the Small Gym, and North of Steeler Stadium in the center of campus and can be best accessed via the Northeast gate on Oleander Ave.
The diving boards have been removed and the "diving well" end of the pool has been shallowed a bit. It is still the home site for regular season Boys and GIrls Water Polo and Boys and Girls Swim matches. Unfortunately, NFHS has changed the depth and width requirements for play, so we must travel off-site for CIF-SS Playoff matches.

Varsity Softball Diamond
(Softball)
Coming Soon! In May of 2024, a project will begin which will return our Girls Softball program to campus for the first time in the 21st Century. The varsity field will be located on the far South edge of campus and will be accessed via San Bernardino Ave. The lower level field will be located on the Northeast corner of campus on Oleander Ave. and be accessed via the Northwest gate. The lower level field project will also house new Shotput rings beyond the right-field fence.

Soccer Cage
(Shot Put, Discus)
Primarily a practice facility today, the Soccer Cage doubles as host of our Track & Field Discus and Shot Put events. It is located directly North of the Main Gym and can be accessed via Oleander at the Northwest Gate.
