Student Laptop Troubleshooting

WiFI or Internet Issues?
- Restart the laptop
- Make sure WiFi is turned on
- Make sure airplane mode is off
- Make sure you are connected to FUSD Network

Battery Not Charging?
- Check A/C adapter (charger) to make sure both parts are connected
securely - Make sure it is the correct A/C adapter
- Plug A/C adapter into different wall outlet
- Try using a different A/C adapter on your laptop or your
A/C adapter on a different laptop
- Check A/C adapter (charger) to make sure both parts are connected

Battery Not Holding a Charge?
- Reduce screen brightness
- Close apps not being used
- Turn off Bluetooth if not using
- Close browser tabs not being used

Touch Screen Malfunction?
- Restart the laptop
- Check for visible damage to screen
- Fold laptop to tablet mode then back to desktop mode
- Clean your screen with a micro fiber cloth
- Use provided stylus or your finger when using the touchscreen

Audio Issues?
- Restart the laptop
- Confirm correct audio output is selected (Right click audio icon in tray)
- Confirm the volume is not muted for external speakers (Right click audio icon in tray)
- If headphones have mute function, make sure the headphones are not
muted

Video Issues?
- Check screen for visible damage

- Restart the laptop
- Check for visible damage to the keyboard i.e. missing, sticky, or broken keys

- Make sure you have turned in the Student
Acceptable Use Agreement (SAUA) and the Annual Parent Notification - Forgot your password (Teachers can reset your password)
