• Hispanic Heritage Month 2023

Hispanic Heritage Month is an annual celebration of the history and culture of the U.S. Latinx and Hispanic communities.  The event commemorates how those communities have influenced and contributed to American society at large.

FUSD is providing students opportunities to explore the contributions, opinions, stories, and daily lives of people from diverse backgrounds throughout history by encouraging students, classrooms, and/or sites to participate in projects or activities that highlight cultures reflective of our community.

We invite our students to participate in our Hispanic Heritage Celebration by submitting a piece of written, physical, digital, or recorded art showcasing their celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.  Submissions can be made by individuals, groups, or classes of students who attend any of our ³ÉÈËÊÓƵ Schools.

Submissions can be made to your school’s Community Aide in the school office from September 15 to September 29.  Digital or video submissions can be sent to NavaAG@fusd.net.  All submissions must include the attached Entry Form with the student’s name, ID number, school, and grade.

Selected Submissions will be displayed at the FUSD Hispanic Heritage Month event at Fontana High School on October 14, and at the John D. Piazza Building at the FUSD District Office for the remainder of October.

We also invite all FUSD families to join us at the FUSD Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month Cultural Celebration at Fontana High School on October 14 from 12pm to 3pm.
